Exit here - an RV experience
Millennium Images is pleased to announce the arrival of the pictures from “Exit here - an RV experience”, a photographic project by Jenny Norquist.

Jenny Nordquist is a Swedish photographer living and working in London.
In July 2001, she graduated in the BA Photography at London College of Printing. Since then she has been working as a freelance photographer specialising in colour documentary photography. She operates within the fields of portraiture, landscape, environmental and reportage.

From her work “Exit here - an RV experience”, she says: “There is something magical about silver Airstream caravans. Their voluptuous appearance fits perfectly into the awesome American scenery. The interaction between vehicle, nature and fake garden ornaments creates a dream-like simulation, a strange hyper-reality where nature becomes artificial and artifice becomes natural. The home on the road is a glorious home. It is a home founded on ideals of liberation and expedition, convenience and luxury, independence and community, inertia and mobility. But it may also be a dying phenomenon. When the Airstream caravan was advertised in the 1950’s it was presented as the perfect holiday experience for young, active people. Today it is hard to find any caravaners under the age of 60. Yet the dream lives on, and the awesome silver box still strolls across the highways bringing Americans together in pursuit of adventure - a physical salute to the possibilities of moving home. Exit here.

At the present time you can see Jenny’s work in the magazines Blond UK, Lab magazine and Carl's Cars. On the 18th November she is having a one night exhibition event at the Beachclub at Notting Hill Arts club (21 Notting Hill Gate London W11), where she will show her new work, “City of Lindström - America’s little Sweden”. She will also exhibit her piece "Flytipping" at Frevd Bar/gallery (198 Shaftsbury Avenue London WC2H 8JL) from the 4th Nov. until 30th Nov.
