New Work
Angus Mill’s photographs explore the night landscape, showing us a familiar world in an uncommon light. Seascapes, motorways and mountains, vivid plants and spectral houses exist in a world of heightened reality. Scenes lit by moon and street lighting are saturated with colour, softened by fog or shrouded in deep stellar skies. Their brooding reality intimates a realm unbound where the imagination can take hold.

These photos were taken on the South Coast of England, around the M25 motorway and in the Swiss Alps. They are part of an ongoing project.
Having taken a degree in fine art, Angus followed this up with an MA in photography at the Royal College of Art. He lives in London and works on commercial photography assignments for magazines and PR companies, as well as working on extensive personal projects. Angus is also currently photographing coracle men who fish at night for wild salmon in West Wales.
