Martin's work is frequently characterised by an attempt to find beauty in the ordinary. He pushes colour ranges and utilises shallow depths of field in an attempt to distance the resulting imagery from day to day reality.
Among his clients are record companies and several publishing houses including Penguin, Random House, MacMillan and Granta. He has recently been producing photography for the redesigned Penguin Modern Classic Range.
Martin is a versatile photographer who is equally comfortable photographing the Empire State Building or a still life in his studio.
