Jason Shenai is a London based photographer. He has worked for a wide variety of clients particularly in the editorial and design fields. The ten photographs following here are from two commissioned books with photographs by Jason. The first is Take 5000 Eggs, the markets and fairs of southern France. The other is a book about the winemakers of the Languedoc region of France, to be published in September 2002.
In 1992 Jason founded Inside Eye, a project helping prisoners in London’s Wandsworth Prison to document their lives through photography. The book of the project Inside Eye was published in 1998. In the autumn of 2001 Inside Eye will publish Nearly Invisible, a book of photography on London’s homeless.
Jason Shenai is a regular visiting lecturer at Westminster University in documentary photography and is the founder of Millennium Images.
