About

Bridging the gap between artistic endeavour and commercial success

Renowned through the world as a leading image library Millennium’s collection is at the cutting edge of contemporary photography.

It is a favourite of many designers and picture researchers who are fed up with cliches and stereotypes. We have a fantastic track record working continuously with major publishing companies from all of over the world.

The images are very fairly priced and are easy to find and download. And of course our friendly staff are keen to give you help whenever you need it.

We will let you download high res files for tryouts, without any obligation to buy and give you 30 days to pay when you do decide to buy.

All our images are rights managed.

We are based in Hackney, London. We are a small team all of whom are artist/photographers.

Millennium was founded by Jason Shenai 25 years ago as a response to clients wanting to find photography that was “a bit different” but not always have the budget or a clear idea of what was needed to commission new works. Initially Millennium consisted of works by a small handful of artist-photographers.

These works were very different to what could be found in any other picture library, which were always predictable and commercial.

Curation

Millennium’s fabulous gallery is where we sell prints by top flight artists.

Millennium now has more than 80000 fully downloadable high resolution files on line. We work carefully and our images are selected from much largers number as submitted to us. Our clients are therefore not required to browse through endless dull and repetitive images and the quality speaks for itself.

The images that we hold are exclusive to us. You cannot buy these images anywhere else. We charge reasonable prices that suit our clients and give a fair return to our photographers.

We think of our contributors as artist-photographers. When you browse our site you will always find unexpected solutions, as well as more clearcut photography.

Whilst we are happy selling rights for advertising, digital marketing and editorial our largest sector of clientelle is the fiction book publishing world. We have clients all over the world, representing the largest book publishers but we are equally happy to work with small independent publishers.

We recognise that not everyone’s budget is the same and whilst always wanting to maintain reasonable prices for our photographers, we are very happy to make adjustments to prices where there is need.
